in Medium Dapple Grey. It is my understanding that this figurine
is modeled after the Thoroughbred horse, and what an exquisite piece
of art he is. Mr. Guy Pocock, founder of North Light Studio and
a master designer, was the person who created this elegant equine
figurine.
This stunning horse is sculpted, rolling on his back, with all four
legs held high in the air. The horse has been painted and hand detailed
at the North Light Studio in England and has extensive quality detailing.
From the carefully sculpted ears, to the moist appearing life-like
eyes, to the soft pink shading of the muzzle, right down to the
carved-out bottoms of each upraised hoof, no detail has been overlooked.
His carefully executed shading accentuates his muscle structure
and body form of this wonderfully spirited horse. His pose and the
feeling of agile freedom and movement make him a unique piece to
behold.
The free flowing feeling of movement of this figurine certainly
would beautifully represent the fiery spirited Thoroughbred horse.
The head is elegantly shaped with a thoroughbred's profile, the
neck is long and arched, the body muscular, and legs rather delicate
in their up-raised positions. This piece of Equine art is breathtaking,
and would make an excellent acquisition for the serious collector.
