Model # P1162
Shown in Bay
The term Cob actually refers
to a type of horse, rather than a separate breed of horse.
The Welsh Cob is the only Cob recognized as a separate breed.
Cobs are compact, sturdy horses with short legs and
a thick body.

They are obedient and calm, and make
excellent riding horses for inexperienced or young riders. He has
an arching heavy neck and smaller head. The Cob stands close to
15 hands high at the withers. Cobs are thought to be the result
of crosses between Welsh Cob or Hunter Mares and Thoroughbred Stallions,
with some Arab blood crossed in. In times past, the Cob was frequently
used as a driving pony, but today, his role is as a riding pony
of excellent endurance and reliability.
The North Light model represents the Cobs characteristics
and conformation. From the smaller head, to the heavy arched neck,
to the thick body, and stout legs, this is an elegant horse.
