The exquisite Arabian horse is possibly the oldest pure-bred horse in the world, originating in Saudi Arabia. The wild Arab horses were captured and domesticated in several countries, but the Bedouin Arabians are the most famous.

This desert line is known as the Elite Arab. The Bedouins in-bred their horses in order to reinforce the breed traits of stamina and endurance, intelligence, beauty and courage. They needed a horse that could endure the harsh desert climate and thrive. The Arab has the consistent ability to pass its conformation and genetics to its offspring, and has been highly sought-after for founding and refining breeds.
The adult Arabian stands 14 to 15 hands high at the withers and has a small head with a dished face, alert ears and large expressive eyes. He has a long, crested neck which is broad at the base where it sets into the body. The chest is well muscled, broad and deep. The back is short and muscular, the legs sculpted and refined and the hooves small. The mane and tail are thick and flowing, with the tail set high and carried proudly. These traits combine to give us the elegant, graceful Arabian we know and love.
This is the RETIRED Arabian Foal model from the artists at North Light. This darling foal has been sculpted with long baby legs and body proportions. He has a small, well balanced head with just a hint of the characteristic "dished" profile of the adult Arab he will become. He has the alert Arab ears and wide set eyes. The short stand-up mane and tail are proportioned properly for a young foal and have excellent mold detailing. This is one of the few Foal models with the tail extending away from the body, and this feature adds so much to the foal's appeal.
